چکیده

Background: The etiology of preeclampsia remains less well known. It is noted that low vitamin D levels are associated with a high risk (PE). Calcium (Ca2+) during pregnancy appear to be involved in pregnancy-induced hypertension. Recent studies indicate serum calcium may have role preeclampsia. Vitamin promotes absorption proper concentration the blood which helps lower pressure. complications deficiency normal numerous and not been extensively studied Goma. Objective: To assess (ionic total) preeclamptic women analyse seasonal influence on Method: A prospective case-control study (without matching) 190 pregnant without cardiovascular or endocrine diseases for ratio 1∶1 was conducted six hospitals Blood ionogram performed by an automated system directly after sampling measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent method. Results: mean ionised level woman 1.24±0.16 mmol/L (0.48-1.59) compared 1.27±0.17 (0.88-2.30) (p=0.214). slight negative correlation between pressure observed women. Maternal Vitamin D Status in Preeclampsia: Seasonal Changes Are Not Influenced by Placental Gene Expression of Vitamin D Metabolizing Enzymes

UNLABELLED Preeclampsia, a hypertensive disorder in pregnancy develops in 2-8% of pregnancies worldwide. Winter season and vitamin D deficiency have been associated with its onset. OBJECTIVE To investigate the influence of season on maternal vitamin D status and placental vitamin D metabolism. METHODS 25-OH vitamin D and 1,25-(OH)2 vitamin D were measured in maternal serum obtained during t...

Serum and urine vitamin D metabolite analysis in early preeclampsia

Vitamin D deficiency is common in pregnant women and may contribute to adverse events in pregnancy such as preeclampsia (PET). To date, studies of vitamin D and PET have focused primarily on serum concentrations vitamin D, 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25(OH)D3) later in pregnancy. The aim here was to determine whether a more comprehensive analysis of vitamin D metabolites earlier in pregnancy could pr...
